Children can run through the water sprays or just cool off by paddling in the water. Countless hours can be spent playing and swimming and as with all things at The Entrance Vera’s Water Garden adds to a perfect family holiday feeling the only problem you may have is getting the children to leave.

THE CAROUSEL
This historic icon has charmed and delighted young and old at The Entrance since 1930. It has seen a number of owners since its arrival in Australia from France in the early 1900s and is now part of the National Trust classified Haas Family carnival, a family that has 400 years of carnival ancestry. The carousel which was built in the late 1800s in Germany, was originally powered by a pony but was converted to steam at the turn of the century. It remained steam driven until the 1950′s when a old chev engine was installed, and was converted to electricity in the 1970s. Its reed pipe organ, operated by bellows, remained in commission until 1950. Music is now supported by tape … the organ front has now been restored. The carousel has pride of place at The Entrance waterfront where it is visited by not only today’s children, but the parents, grandparents, and great grandparents of those children.
